Chop Cups

Gareth's intention is to make several designs of chop cups in the future, here are some of the popular ones that he has made to date. The’ Legacy Goblet’, which is graceful in design, has smooth contours and is ergonomically designed to just feel comfortable in the hand. The ‘Elegance cup’ again is designed with comfort in mind as well as beautiful flowing curves give the user an urge to perform with it.

Gareth also intends to make some limited edition cups, the Camelot chalice being one of them, limited to a quantity of 50 in each wood and size. A certificate of authentication will be provided with each cup. Watch out for more as time allows!

Before marketing these cups as a saleable item, Gareth wanted to make sure that they would withstand the rigours of frequent use and asked some professional magicians to trial them. They passed all the tests with flying colours. They are very strong, elegant, and constructed to ensure they do not raise any suspicion of trickery.

They come with a set of crocheted balls also hand made by Gareth's good friends at Danis magic. The ball is adjustable, and is adjusted for the perfect drop. No more worrying about 'will it, or won’t it'? Also supplied is a drawstring bag, and a little wax for maintenance. Gareth likes to keep the finish of his work as natural as possible, but at the same time being hard wearing so the hard work is done before the final wax. And of course the hidden wren logo will be displayed somewhere on the cup. On load size, the large is around a tennis ball size, the medium is Mike Rogers baseball, or Fab Fruit, and the small size is a Golf ball or a little larger, but custom sizes are welcomed. All sizes are approximate each and every piece of wood is different, a slight knot may alter the shape of the final turning, please e-mail to see the exact cup etc.

Gareth can use Home grown woods, e.g. English/Welsh oak, Elm, Holly, Yew, etc, and of course the beautiful exotics, ebony, Cocobolo, Pink Ivory, Tulipwood, and Gareths' personal favourite African Blackwood. Thuya Burr can also be found from time to time, but getting these woods in A1 grade is becoming more and more difficult. Please ask if you need something in particular. Custom orders are welcomed.
